GenZ sadboi: feeling nostalgic af about this madeleine lol crying rn 💀Artist and writer Andrew Weatherhead put a modernized spin on Proust’s In Search of Lost Time — he added ‘lol’ to the end of every sentence.
It’s simple. A meme. A bit. But if you think about it, it’s quite profound.
Proust is known for his ability to ascribe fanciful descriptions of the otherwise basic and bland. He often ascertains meaning in things as simple as a madeleine dipped in tea.
Reading his work, you can get lost in his writing—it’s so poetic. Romantic, even. How can someone describe a cookie dipped in tea in such a pretty way?
But take away the beautiful prose, and you realize he’s just like us. Sadbois looking for meaning in the mundane.Would you ‘die’ with strangers?
Or rest ‘in peace?’

Dirt, the publication, recently published an article collecting “epiphanies, to do lists, and nonsense” from their contributors’ and friends’ notes app.

Them Skates an LA-based roller skating brand is hosting a party and product launch this Saturday at 6PM in the LES. Sunday they’ll be hosting a roller skating session followed by a skating video premiere. If you’re into skate culture, this is an event you don’t want to miss.
